Hello Everyone,
I wanted to let everyone know that Juan Carlos had his surgery yesterday. His blood was clean of infection yesterday and Dr. Parres operated immediately. He felt that the surgery was a huge success. He was able to take small pieces of skin from all over Juan's body to cover the burns that were still open. If the grafting is successful (which the doctor feels it will be) and no new infection sets in, Juan will be released from the hospital on Monday morning, the 23rd. Juan is far from out of the woods yet. Please pray for his continued healing. His family is going to have to learn to take care of Juan. He will have to remain under a mosquito net for some time, his family will have to be diligent about hand washing, etc. However, we are all very, very hopeful and feel that God has brought Juan very, very far on this journey.
Please pray for Juan's continued healing and strengthening of his body and mind.
You have all been more than generous and I can not thank you enough. It has been a humbling experience for me to see the donations roll in to help Juan.
